James Russell, 82, of Hopkinsville, died Dec. 2, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville of natural causes. He was a retired custodian of 26 years for Christian County Public Schools. During the 1950s and ’60s, he was highly involved with local and national harness racing. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour.
