Imelda Ann Gorman, 96, of Hopkinsville, died Saturday, March 15, at Hospice House of Bowling Green. Born in Detroit, she had lived in Hopkinsville for 50 years. She was director of admissions and development at University Heights Academy for 21 years and then worked another 10 years as a part-time employee for the school. She knitted and gave away hundreds of baby blankets. She attended Mass almost daily at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and for years drove younger friends to their medical appointments. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Saints Peter and Paul. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hughart, Beard and Giles Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the church. The Rosary will begin at 9:45 a.m. The family requests that contributions in Imelda Gorman’s name be made to the Pennyroyal Arts Council.
