Gay Nell Deweese Rittenberry, 77, of Hopkinsville, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at her residence. A native of Franklin, Kentucky, she taught English at Hopkinsville High School for many years, before shifting to a career in real estate. She established Coldwell Banker MetroNet Realtor with her business partner, David Lea Sturges. She was a member of the Christian County Republican Party and Christian County Republican Women. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
