Arlett “Cliff” Clifton Cornelius Jr.

Cliff Cornelius Jr., 76, died on Friday, Aug. 23, at Southminster Hospice in Charlotte, North Carolina. A native of Hopkinsville, he graduated in 1965 from Christian County High School and in 1968 from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he earned a degree in business administration. He went on to work for Bass and Co. as a salesman and, later, as a branch manager in Jackson, Mississippi. In 1983, he joined Dyke Industries as branch manager in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was eventually promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations, a role he held until his retirement in 2021. A private family burial will be at Cerulean Cemetery.  A reception and visitation to celebrate his life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept.7, at The Bourbon Society, 1016 S. Main St., Hopkinsville. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
