Owner Tim Goodaker, whose parents started in the dry-cleaning business in 1957, will retire. The new owners of Model Cleaners will keep the shop open on South Main Street.

The money was raised at the 2020 Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K.

Many of the small business award recipients had to learn new ways of serving customers and staying afloat financially.

The project will include new machinery and equipment in the company's existing plant at the Hopkinsville Industrial Park.

The federal program is aimed at serving vulnerable Kentuckians.
