Three deaths from COVID-19 complications were reported in Kentucky, while 289 people were hospitalized across the state.

More than a third of Christian County's coronavirus cases have come out of Western State Hospital.

An internal medicine physician on staff at Western State is treating COVID-19 patients at the psychiatric hospital as long as they do not have respiratory issues that require a transfer to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Two of the patients who died were from Western State Hospital, the governor announced.

In another development, Quorum Health Corp., which owns a subsidiary that provides management services at Jennie Stuart, announced Tuesday it is filing for bankruptcy to reorganize its debt.

The county health director said she believes Christian County's peak for the disease is a month away.
