Hopkinsville Rotary Foundation awards two grants
Christian County Public Schools
A $20,000 grant was awarded to Christian County Public Schools for a literacy program to expand dyslexia interventions across the district.
The district partnered with the Dyslexia System of the Pennyrile this year to bring The Barton System to students at Freedom Elementary. The grant funds will allow CCPS to continue the program and expand it to other students in the district, said K-6 Instructional Supervisor Michelle Walden.
Saints Peter and Paul School
A $7,500 matching grant was awarded to the Saints Peter and Paul School’s Interact Club, which raised more than $6,000 to support its Divine Drops Water Project. The effort supports providing safe and clean drinking water to children in Nigeria.
