The interim principal at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Early Learning Center has been named to the position on a permanent basis.
The school district announced the selection of Kim Lint to lead the school, which opened at the start of the 2024-25 school year int the former Indian Hills Elementary School on Blane Drive at Country Club Lane.
“With her extensive background in early childhood education and a deep passion for early learning, Ms. Lint brings exceptional leadership and vision to the school, Assistant Superintendent for Christian County Public Schools Jessica Addison said in a press release. “During her time as interim principal, she made significant strides, fostering growth and success. We look forward to seeing her continue to guide our students and staff to even greater achievements.”

Lint fills a vacancy created when Leigh Ann Stewart left the MLK Early Learning Center shortly after the school opened. She had been named principal in March.
Lint has more than 30 years of experience in education as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, curriculum specialist, and assistant principal.
She received her bachelor’s degree in early education and a master’s degree in elementary education from Austin Peay State University. She earned her Rank 1 supervisor of instruction from the University of the Cumberlands and a Rank 1 in instructional leadership from Murray State University.
Lint and her husband, Will, have five children and nine grandchildren.
