The musical is a modern interpretation of the classic folk tale and features several favorite songs, including “In My Own Little Corner” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” the Hopkinsville theater company says in a press release.

“Beyond Cinderella being a story that’s easy to love, this production is special as it is the second time Campanile is bringing this show to the Alhambra stage,” the release says. “With a few new characters, script updates, and additional music, this new production brings an exciting revamp to the classic story.”

Among the cast members is Chassity Jàuné Mumford, a Hopkinsville native and signed artist with the HipHoptown USA ARC Exhibit, which has its studio downtown across Main Street from the Alhambra. Mumford plays the lead character, Ella, in her musical theater debut.

Mumford, a two-time Hoptown Idol music contest winner, is also slated to be the opening act for Alfreda Sings Aretha on Feb. 16 at the Alhambra.

Campanile is offering an early bird discount of $5 to those buying “Cinderella” tickets before Feb. 13. Use the code EARLY BIRD 24 when purchasing online
