The 75th Annual Hopkinsville Rotary Auction opened Monday night at the Memorial Building, launching a weeklong Hopkinsville tradition that rallies community support in the name of local students and organizations.
By the end of opening night, Rotarians had already raised $130,203.76, surpassing last year’s first-night total by more than $3,400. Monday’s tally included:
- 105 items sold through the main auction, generating $9,238
- $2,840.76 in sales from the Rotary Diner and Sweet Shop
- $118,125 in donations to the Hour Club and Goat Club
It’s a strong start as auction chairman Landan Stallons aims to exceed last year’s record-breaking total of $560,074.
