The National Information Officers Association recently presented its Best Use of Humor Award to Hopkinsville Fire Department Lt. Nathan Stewart, according to a city press release.

The light-hearted video titled “Fire House” features members of HFD Battalion I in scenes styled like a sitcom trailer to highlight the “camaraderie and spirit within the fire department,” the release states.

“Public safety is a serious responsibility, but humor is one of the ways we stay connected as a team and with the community,” said Stewart. “It’s an honor to be recognized nationally, but more importantly, it’s a joy to bring a little laughter to the people we serve.”
