Hopkinsville Community College slates spring commencement services

Two services are planned on May 6 at the Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall.

Hopkinsville Community College will have two ceremonies for spring commencement on Friday, May 6, at the Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall in the Auditorium Building. 

The first ceremony, at noon, is for students earning an associate of arts or an associate of science degree. Graduates should arrive by 11:30 a.m.

The second ceremony, at 3 p.m., is for students earning a technical associate of applied science degree, a diploma or a certificate. These students should arrive by 2:30 p.m.

HCC Registrar Tiffanie Witt said a press release that 321 students have applied for 642 credentials — 209 two-year degrees, 22 diplomas and 411 certificates.

During the ceremonies, the college will present various academic awards and will announce the HCC Spirit Cup winner. 

Livestream videos of the ceremonies will be shown on the college’s Facebook page and will be available to view on replay. 

Tickets are required to attend commencement. Each students receives four tickets.
