Holiday homes tour will feature 5 historic Hopkinsville residences

The tour is planned on Saturday, Dec. 7, along South Main Street and Alumni Avenue.

A holiday homes tour of five historic Hopkinsville residences on South Main Street and Alumni Avenue is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The Homes for the Holidays tour is a collaboration of the Hopkinsville History Foundation and the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County.

“Homeowners have decked their halls and are excited to show off their historic properties,” museum executive director Alissa Keller said in a press release.

The tours will highlight “the architecture, interior decor and the families who have called these houses home,” said Keller.

The featured homes are located at 125 and 144 Alumni Ave., and at 2000, 2003 and 2112 South Main St.

Tour tickets are $25 and can be purchased through the museum’s Shopify store. All of the tour homes have stairs that must be climbed. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.

The tour organizers need volunteers for the event. Anyone interested in helping is asked to fill out this online form
