Health department reports 21 new COVID-19 cases

As of Monday, there were 180 active cases of the virus in Christian County.

The Christian County Health Department reported 21 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, pushing the county’s case total to 647 since the first case was reported locally on March 19. The total includes 180 active cases, 459 classified as recovered and eight deaths. 

Monday’s report brings the seven-day average of new cases up to eight, which is down from 14 a week ago.

The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:

  • Youth (0-21): 39
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 96
  • Older Adult (60-84): 40
  • Elderly (85+): 5
