Health department now giving COVID-19 vaccinations twice a week

Appointments are now available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

As coronavirus cases surge locally and across Kentucky, the Christian County Health Department is increasing the number of days it administers COVID-19 vaccinations.

Vaccine appointments will be available 7:45 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the department announced in a Facebook post.

The vaccine is free. The health department is at 1700 Canton St.

The Pfizer vaccine, approved for ages 12 and older, is available locally at Walgreens, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine search tool.
