HCC slates commencement ceremonies

Two ceremonies are planned on Dec. 10 in the Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall.

Two commencement ceremonies are planned on Friday, Dec. 10, at Hopkinsville Community College in the Auditorium Building’s Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall. The first commencement, at noon, will be for students earning associate in arts and associate in science degrees. The second ceremony, at 3 p.m., will be for students earning applied science degrees, diplomas and certificates. HCC President Dr. Alissa Young will preside at both ceremonies.

Students have applied for 621 credentials. Those include 258 two-year degrees, 42 diplomas and 321 certificates, according to an HCC press release.

COVID-19 safety measures, including the use of masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing, will be followed.

“In order to minimize gathering size, each graduate will be given four tickets for guests. Tickets are required for entry. Guests must stay seated for the entirety of the ceremony,” the release states.
