HCC adds course for 3-D printing, other new certificates

Other new certificates include training in payroll accounting, green building technology, robotics and medical fields.

Hopkinsville Community College is adding a new program of study in digital printing technology with a 16- to 18-credit-hour certificate for a 3-D printing technician (Level 1), the college announced Thursday in a press release.

The college is also offering several new credentials through existing programs. Those include:

  • Business Administration Systems — A 9-credit-hour certificate for payroll accounting specialist, an 18-credit-hour certificate in small business management and a 15-credit hour certificate in team leadership. 
  • Construction Technology — A 20-credit-hour certificate in green building technology. 
  • Electrical Technology — A 14- to 15-credit-hour certificate in industrial automation and robotics technician (Level 1).
  • Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic — A 5-credit-hour certificate for electrocardiogram technician. 
  • Manufacturing Technology — A 6-credit-hour certificate for enhanced operator 1 and an 8-credit-hour certificate for enhanced operator 2.
  • Medical Assisting — A 17- to 22-credit hour certificate for electrocardiograph technician and a 4- to 9-credit-hour phlebotomist certificate.
