Christian County Senior Center to open Thursday

The facility on West Seventh Street was closed for more than a year because of the pandemic and damages from a March 2020 storm.

The Christian County Senior Center, 1402 E. Seventh St., will celebrate its reopening with a ribbon-cutting at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 1.

The senior center was closed for more than a year because of COVID-19 restrictions and structural damage from a severe storm in March 2020.

After the ribbon-cutting, the celebration will continue with breakfast. Throughout the morning there will be door prizes and gospel music.

Lunch is planned at 11:30 a.m. Anyone wishing to join the center for lunch is asked to call 270-886-8885.
