Ceremony set Wednesday to rename street for the Rev. C.E. Timberlake

Quarry Street will be named for the longtime pastor of First Street Missionary Baptist Church.

A ceremony is planned at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, to rename a street in honor of the Rev. C.E. Timberlake, the longtime pastor of First Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Hopkinsville City Council previously approved the renaming of Quarry Street, which runs adjacent to the church from First Street to Wood Street. The public is invited to the ceremony.

“For nearly four decades, Pastor Timberlake has dedicated himself to serving our community with unwavering dedication and compassion,” city officials said in a Facebook post. “Join us as we pay tribute to his remarkable legacy and the indelible mark he has left on our city.”
