CASA postpones its Superhero run

Organizers cited a rise in COVID-19 as the reason to delay the run until late March.

CASA of Christian County — the Court Appointed Special Advocates organization — has decided to postpone its Superhero 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run/walk because of rising COVID-19 numbers.

It was planned for Oct. 23 with a theme to honor police, firefighters, first-responders and health care workers.

“With this being a stressful time for them, and they are once again in the midst of overrun hospitals, we have decided to delay the event,” CASA spokeswoman Donna Johnson said in an email.

The run is postponed until sometime in late March.
