The fundraiser includes a grilled pork chop meal and a silent auction.

A fundraiser benefitting Jeffers Bend Environmental Center is planned at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Christian County Extension Service, 2850 Pembroke Road.

The Benefit for the Bend will include a meal with grilled pork chops and homemade desserts.

Tickets are $30 per person, or $180 for a table of six. Reservations should be made no later than June 13 by calling 270-885-5600 or 270-885-1425.

In addition to the meal, a silent auction is planned with more than 80 items. The silent auction will include baked goods, collectible dolls, fishing gear and other donated items.

Located on the northern edge of Hopkinsville, at 1170 Metcalfe Lane, Jeffers Bend is a 40-acre nature preserve managed by volunteers under the direction of Pennyrile Resource Conservation and Development Area.

Proceeds from Benefit for the Bend will go toward maintenance, events such as Take Kids Fishing Day, and promotional materials, organizers said in a Facebook post
