In the past three days, there have been 36 deaths related to COVID-19 in Kentucky.

Gov. Andy Beshear reported 516 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday. He said Monday through Thursday of this week has had 247 less cases than compared to last week.

Direct contacts are placed under quarantine and have to monitor their symptoms for 14 days — regardless if they receive a negative test in the meantime.

The steps are among those recommended by the White House to prevent the spread of the virus.

“No rules. Companies wouldn’t even have to sanitize or use hand sanitizer. No masks. Just the wild west. That’s terrifying,” Gov. Andy Beshear said today in response to Attorney General Daniel Cameron's request that a Boone County judge overturn all emergency orders put in place by the governor.

Paducah Beer Werks is closing Monday to Wednesday following a notification that multiple people who had eaten at the brewery had been in direct contact with an individual that tested positive for COVID-19 this past week.

The Picnic Committee has planned for the event to have fewer booths, reduced hours, masks for volunteers and people dedicated to sanitizing.

Requirements for pools include the ability for facilities to require visitors to wear face masks when they are not in the water.

Professor Timothy Johns said he’s had black students who may feel like “second-class citizens” after seeing the statue on the square. He said the statue is also offensive to black soldiers who are willing to die for their country.

Protesters could be heard outside the Capitol building as the governor gave his daily coronavirus briefing.

Stores will also floor markers to guide customers one-way through aisles.
