Beshear administration releases updated guidance on public pools and gatherings of up to 50

Requirements for pools include the ability for facilities to require visitors to wear face masks when they are not in the water.

Governor Andy Beshear today released updated guidance on public pools and gatherings of up to 50 people.

Some of the Healthy at Work requirements for pools include the ability for facilities to require visitors to wear face masks when they are not in the water.

Facilities may also ask individuals to leave if they refuse to wear masks. According to guidance, groups should hold gatherings outside whenever possible and discourage people from sharing items, such as tools, sporting equipment and other high-touch objects. People particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 should continue to avoid in-person gatherings.

Beshear confirmed 203 new cases of coronavirus in the Commonwealth Tuesday, bringing the total number to 12,829. Beshear also reported seven new deaths.
