Leadership West Kentucky selects 36 members for its fourth class

Several members of the class are from Christian County.

Five residents of Christian County are among 36 people selected for the fourth class of Leadership West Kentucky, a program that aims to “foster a network of informed, engaged citizens who have the knowledge and network to collaborate across county boundaries,” the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance announced in a press release. 

The local members are:

  • Michael Felts, Hopkinsville Police Department
  • Kristen Middlebrooks, Elevance Health
  • Melissa Spurr, Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority
  • Eric White, Atmos Energy
  • Adam May, Tennessee Valley Authority

In his position with TVA, May represents multiple counties in the region.

The class will meet for six sessions addressing topics such as transportation, education, economic development, quality of life, advocacy, agriculture and tourism.

Their first meeting was an orientation conducted in Paducah. The last session and graduation will be on June 25 in Hopkinsville. 

The counties that comprise the region are Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, and Trigg.
