Sean Dietrich, a humorist and author who performs a blend of storytelling and music for live audiences, has a show at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Alhambra Theatre.
Better known as Sean of the South, he is a multi-instrumentalist and stand-up storyteller. He will give the Hopkinsville audience “an evening filled with live music, heartfelt storytelling, and the wit and charm that have made him a Southern favorite,” the Pennyroyal Arts Council announced.

Dietrich is the author of several novels, including “Kinfolk,” “Stars of Alabama” and “Over Yonder,” and a nonfiction book, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?: A Memoir of Learning to Believe You’re Gonna Be Okay.” He also has a podcast.
Following the Alhambra show, Dietrich will stay for a meet and greet. He’ll sign books, including any that audience members bring from home.
The Alhambra will open at 6 p.m. Tickets, available online, are $50 general admission and $35 for students.
