Christmas at the Bend, the annual holiday event for families at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center on Metcalfe Lane, is planned 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.
All of the activities will be indoors with storytelling, holiday music, ornament-making and a visit from Santa Claus. Children will be able to have their photo taken with Santa for $5.
Refreshments, including hot chocolate, cider and homemade cookies, will be served.
Attendees can also help make Christmas cards for nursing home residents, learn about feeding birds in winter and hear seasonal safety tips from firefighters.
At 12:45 p.m. there will be drawings for prizes.
Admission is $5 per car or $10 per bus. Admission is free for military and first-responder families.
