Wonka World: Campanile is performing ‘Charlie & The Chocolate Factory’

The musical runs Sept. 25 to 28 at the Alhambra Theatre.

The community theater group Campanile Productions is performing “Charlie & The Chocolate Factory” Sept. 25 to 28 at the Alhambra Theatre. 

The musical is based on Roald Dahl’s novel about Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory.

“Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas,” the theater group describes on its Facebook page. 

Show times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Noah Owens, is a Clarksville, Tennessee, resident and a new cast member for Campanile.

Online ticket prices range from roughly $23 to $28 for adults, and $17 for children 12 and younger. 

Campanile’s next shows are “A Christmas Carol,” Dec. 11-14, and “Legally Blonde,” March 11-15. Both shows are musicals. Auditions for “Legally Blonde” will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at 401 W. Ninth St. More information about auditions is available here
