The show is rated PG-13, which Campanile took into consideration when casting local talent for the Hopkinsville production. It features adult humor and language.
Campanile’s website describes the show:
“Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. ‘It’s alive!’ he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.”
Ticketed shows are slated at 7 p.m. Oct. 19, 20 and 21, and at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Prices range from $15 to $25. A $5 discount with the code “Early Bird” is available online through Sept. 17. Patrons may also attend a dress rehearsal with “pay what you like” admission on Oct. 18.
