Downtown walking tour for adults will include special drinks

Museum director Alissa Keller will lead the Downtown Tipsy Tour.

Stories of “seedy and scandalous moments” in Hopkinsville’s past will be told during a downtown walking tour with stops at three watering holes on Saturday, July 30.

Alissa Keller, executive director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, will lead the Downtown Tipsy Tour for guests 21 and older.

The tour will start at 5 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum and proceed to the first of three downtown establishments serving a special alcoholic beverage to the group. Keller will share stories as the group makes it way through downtown.

Lasting about two hours and covering 1.5 miles, the tour will end at Hopkinsville Brewing Co.

Tickets are $28 per person, or $25 for museum members. They are available at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, 217 E. Ninth St., or online. Drinks are included in the ticket price.
