Turn back your clocks Sunday morning

Daylight Saving Time officially ends when clocks are turned back one hour at 2 a.m.

This is the weekend most Americans will end Daylight Saving Time by turning their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday.

We “fall back,” and many people enjoy an extra hour of sleep.

The country’s calendar for the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time was set in 2007, as enacted by the Energy Policy Act of 2005. However, various forms of shifting the clock to make better use of daylight have been observed since World War I, when the United States had an alternate time to save coal.

The current policy sets Daylight Saving Time to begin on the first Sunday of March and to end on the second Sunday of November.
