Health department reports 5 new coronavirus cases

Since the pandemic began, 869 people in Christian County have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Christian County Health Department reported five new coronavirus cases Friday, pushing the total since the pandemic began to 869.

The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:

  • Youth (0-21): 55
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 125
  • Older Adult (60-84): 34
  • Elderly (85+): 6

The combined number of the active cases from the age groups is 220. In addition, as of Friday, there are 636 cases classified as recovered. 

Since the pandemic began, 13 people in Christian County have died from the coronavirus, including two deaths reported Thursday.
