This Christian County Health Department on Sunday reported 11 new cases of COVID-19, pushing the local total to 746.
With 120 new cases reported in the last week, the seven-day average on Sunday grew to 17, an all-time high for Christian County since the pandemic began in mid-March.

The health department released the following breakdown of total active cases by age group:
- Youth (0-21): 55
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 137
- Older Adult (60-84): 58
- Elderly (85+): 7
The state also reported its largest number of new weekly cases on Sunday, with 4,492 cases reported from Aug. 10 through Aug. 16.
