For the second consecutive day there was no increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Christian County, the health department reported.

As of Thursday afternoon, the number remained at 97, with 14 active cases and 80 recovered cases. There have been three deaths in the county from the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus, all reported on April 8.
The number of confirmed, active cases by age group are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 1
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 6
- Older Adult (60-84): 7
- Elderly (85+): 0
The state had 199 newly confirmed cases, Gov. Andy Beshear said during his daily briefing Thursday. That brings the state’s total to 7,225.
Two deaths were reported Thursday, both in Grayson County, of an 82-year-old man and a 95-year-old woman.
