Following a recent day-to-day trend of small increases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Christian County increased by one Wednesday, bringing the total to 94, according to the local health department.

There are 21 active cases and 70 recovered cases — in addition to three people who died from COVID-19 in early April.
The number of confirmed cases by age group was:
- Pediatric (0-21): 2
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 9
- Older Adult (60-84): 10
- Elderly (85+): 0
The racial breakdown within the 94 cases is: Asian, 1; black, 21; and white, 72.
Also Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced 159 new cases statewide, bringing the total to 5,934. Eight deaths were reported. Total deaths since the start of the outbreak is 283.
The number of people ever hospitalized in the state is 1,616 with 351 hospitalized as of Wednesday, the governor said.
The number of patients ever in an intensive-care unit is 693, including 190 on Wednesday.
At least 78,603 people in Kentucky have been tested for COVID-19.
