Two additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Christian County since the health department last updated the numbers Friday. That brings the county’s total since the start of the pandemic to 93 cases.

As of Monday, there were 27 active cases and 63 recovered in Christian County, according to the health department’s report. Three people have died here from COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
The active cases by age group in Christian County are:
- Pediatric (0-21): 2
- Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 15
- Older Adult (60-84): 10
- Elderly (85+): 0
Gov. Andy Beshear announced Monday that eight more people have died from COVID-19, bringing the total in Kentucky to 261.
There were 163 newly confirmed cases reported Monday, bringing the total during the pandemic to 5.245. Of those, 1,921 people have recovered from the disease.
Since the start of the outbreak, 1,529 people have been hospitalized at some point in Kentucky, and as of Monday, 333 were in a hospital.
At least 60,046 people in Kentucky have been tested for COVID-19.
