Portions of Western Kentucky, including Christian, Trigg and Todd counties, are under a winter weather advisory from 4:30 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Thursday.
A mix of snow and ice is possible with accumulations of up to 1 inch of snow and a quarter inch of ice, the National Weather Service at Paducah reported.
Roads could become slippery, making driving conditions hazardous late Wednesday and early Thursday.
The forecast indicates an overnight now of 30, with a wind chill in the low to mid 20s. The temperature will rise to the low 40s Thursday, and there’s a 100% chance of rain in the evening.
Freezing rain is likely on Friday.
