Wendell Lynch appointed to state commission

Lynch will serve as an at-large member of the Kentucky African American Heritage Commission.

Wendell Lynch, of Hopkinsville, has been appointed to the Kentucky African-American Heritage Commission as an at-large member for a term ending March 4, 2028, according to a press release from Gov. Andy Beshear’s office. 

Lynch, a retired bank executive, is a former Hopkinsville mayor and city councilman. 

The commission was established in 1994 “to promote awareness of significant African-American influences within the historical and cultural experiences of Kentucky.”
