Weather cancellations and closures

The following winter storm closures and cancellations have been announced:

  • Christian County Public Schools activities are canceled and schools are closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for non-traditional instruction days; students should complete NTI Day 4 assignments for Wednesday, the NTI Day 5 assignments for Thursday and NTI Day 6 assignments for Friday.
  • University Heights Academy, closed Wednesday and Thursday. 
  • Heritage Christian Academy, closed Wednesday and Thursday for an NTI day.
  • Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School, closed Wednesday and Thursday for an NTI day.
  • Hopkinsville Community College, all campuses closed Wednesday, and operating remotely on Thursday.
  • Murray State University, all campuses closed Wednesday; operating remotely on Thursday.
  • Hopkinsville City Council meeting on Tuesday is canceled. It will be rescheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday (prior to the 6 p.m. Committee of the Whole meeting).
  • Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, closed Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Hopkinsville Municipal Building, closed Wednesday.
  • Christian County Judge Executive’s office, closed Wednesday.
  • Shaun Boothe’s “Unauthorized Biography” performance at the Alhambra Theatre is postponed. A new date this fall will be announced later. 
  • Christian County Justice Center, closed Wednesday.
  • Christian County Senior Center, closed Wednesday.
  • Pennyrile Allied Community Services offices, closed Wednesday
  • Hopkinsville Transit Service buses will not run Wednesday.
  • Christian County Health Department, closed Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Christian County Clerk’s Office, closed Wednesday.
  • Pennyrile Electric, offices opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Hopkinsville Electric, closed Wednesday.
  • Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority, office and drive-thru closed Wednesday; opening one hour late on Thursday.
