The United Way of the Pennyrile will have its end-of-campaign celebration on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Boys and Girls Club on Walnut Street.

Traditionally this is the event where United Way officials and local volunteers announce how much the campaign raised. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. with fellowship. The program and presentation of awards will begin at 6 p.m.

The theme for the campaign was Planting Seeds of Hope, and the goal announced at the campaign launch in September was $730,000.

The United Way of the Pennyrile, helps fund 47 programs offered by 19 agencies in Caldwell, Christian, Todd and Trigg counties. Last year’s campaign generated $726,743.
