United Way set to reveal funds raised toward $700,000 goal

The campaign total will be announced, and awards will be presented at the Feb. 20 finale.

The United Way of the Pennyrile is wrapping up its annual fundraising campaign and will announce the total amount of money raised and present awards during a campaign celebration at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.

Campaign co-chairs Cody Noffsinger and Chris Jung led the effort with a Blues Brothers’ inspired theme, “We’re on a Mission.” The goal was $700,000.

Noffsinger and Jung promised to dance at the campaign finale if the goal was met, United Way of the Pennyrile President Betsy Bond said in a press release.

“You’ll just have to come and find out for yourselves” she said.

The local United Way provides funding to more than 40 programs offered by 18 partner agencies in Caldwell, Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.
