The Christian County Health Department on Canton Street and its regional vaccination clinic at the James E. Bruce Convention Center are closed Tuesday because of hazardous driving conditions.
Tuesday vaccine appointments are rescheduled at the same time on Friday, health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney-Brunt said in a news release.
“For those concerned about getting the second dose of vaccine, according to the CDC, vaccine may be administered anywhere from 28 to 42 days after the first dose,” Sweeney-Brunt said. “If your second dose vaccine was scheduled for this week, please know that you are still within the time frame for the second dose.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidance on the COVID-19 vaccine second dose in a Feb. 10 report.
Scientific American magazine reported on the new guidance in this story.
