Donna Williams, a minister who started a weekly dinner church last year, has an ambitious plan to feed nearly three times the number her group usually serves every Thursday at the Aaron McNeil House.

WKMS's Sounds Good program will celebrate the holiday season with four specials starting Wednesday, November 25th. From turkeys to music to saving the planet, these special presentations from American Public Media, PRX, and the BBC will air through Friday afternoon.

Firefighters are asking local businesses and residents to adopt families by claiming a spot on the Christmas for Kids virtual angel tree.

Awards will be given for the best decorated business and for one home in each of the city's 12 wards.

The parade, set for Dec. 12, will remain stationary while spectators pass by in their vehicles.

Rather than having several thousand people crowded on downtown sidewalks, the audience will drive by the parked parade.
