Small business owners asked to complete city survey

The Hopkinsville Small Business Commission will use the survey responses to "address priority needs."

The Hopkinsville Small Business Commission is asking small business owners to complete a survey that will help the panel in “addressing priority needs” for this business sector. 

The online survey is intended for businesses with 100 or fewer employees located in the city limits. The commission is asking owners to complete the survey during the week of Sept. 22 to 29, according to a press release from the city. 

The 13-member commission — established as one of Mayor James R. Knight Jr.’s priorities to support small business — began meeting this summer. The commission meets monthly on the second Wednesday at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center. Its purpose is to recommend “incentives, strategies and policies” to city council to help “retain and grow small businesses,” the release states.
