Public library slates book sale

The price is $5 for a sackful of books.

How many books could be stuffed into one bag and carried off by an able-bodied adult? Or a child, for that matter?

It’s a question worth asking this week at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, where there is a book sale in celebration of National Library Week.

The price is $5 for as many books as a person can fit into a bag. Buyers can bring their own bags.

The sale runs from Wednesday, April 7, through Saturday, April 10. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first three days and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The public library is at 1101 Bethel St.

In a social media post, the library noted, “We will limit the number of people in the room, maintain social distancing rules and require masks to allow everyone to browse safely.”
