Pop-up art gallery planned

A dozen Hopkinsville area artists will show their works at the pop-up event in late August.

Several Hopkinsville area artists will have their works on display for the Pennyrile Pop-Up Gallery in late August at Towneplace Marriott, 220 Richard Mills Road.

The artists slated for the event are Elsa Bekkala, Jennifer Bowman, Mitchell Bryant, Julie-Anna Carlisle, Brent Ezell, Andy Harding, Kathryn Harper, Will Rascoe, Larry Richardson, Charlie Smyth, B.D. Winfield and Ben House. 

Hopkinsville resident Johan Westenburg organized the showing. 

Hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, all day Saturday, Aug. 21, and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, with refreshments and samples provided by Casey Jones Distillery.
