The Todd Hill Orchestra, a group based in Murray, will perform for the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s Picnic with the Pops on Saturday, May 11.
The outdoor concert, featuring music from the Golden Age of Hollywood with selections from the 1920s to the 1960s, will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Arthur Plaza at Sixth and Main streets across from the Christian County Courthouse.
“Patrons at the event are encouraged to decorate their tables following the theme, the Golden Age of Hollywood, and to support downtown restaurants with take-out orders/boxed dinners for the outdoor show,” organizers said in an email.
The concert is a fundraiser for the arts council, which manages the Alhambra Theatre and provides live performances throughout the year and sponsors arts education for local students.
The Todd Hill Orchestra, whose members include musicians affiliated with Murray State University, played in Hopkinsville last summer for the Alhambra Theatre’s 95th birthday bash.
A silent auction inside the Alhambra lobby during the concert will feature work by local artists.
Table prices include:

- Conductor: $200 for a four-seat low top
- Director: $400 for an eight-seat low top
