Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Sept. 24

Participants raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's research efforts.

Organizers for the 2022 Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s are seeking more participants to help raise money and awareness that will support research efforts.

Participants will gather at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Christian County Justice Center parking lot. An opening ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m., followed by the walk at 10 a.m.

Everyone needs to register in advance, organizers said in a press release. There is no fee to register, but everyone is asked to make a donation and to seek support from other potential donors.

Every registered participant who raises at least $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt in the mail.

The money raised by walk participants goes to the research efforts of the nonprofit Alzheimer’s Association.
