Number of COVID-19 cases in Christian County increases by 1 to 97

Statewide, 191 new cases were confirmed and 10 Kentuckians died from the novel coronavirus.

One newly confirmed case of COVID-19 brings Christian County’s total to 97, according to the local health department’s daily report.

As of Tuesday, there were 18 active cases and 76 recovered cases. Those are in addition to three deaths here, reported April 8, from the novel coronavirus.

The number of confirmed cases by age group in Christian County are:

  • Pediatric (0-21): 2
  • Young Adult-Middle Age (22-59): 8
  • Older Adult (60-84): 8
  • Elderly (85+): 0

Kentucky reported 191 new cases Tuesday, bringing the state’s total to 6,853. In his daily briefing, Gov. Andy Beshear said 2,546 people have recovered from the respiratory disease. 

Ten deaths were reported. They included: three women, ages 91, 89 and 91, and a man, age 85, from Kenton County; a woman, 74, from Boone County; a woman, 59, from Fayette County; a woman, 85, from Hopkins County; two women, ages 57 and 77, and a man, 85, from Jefferson County.
