The bill went through revisions before being heard by the Senate Health and Welfare Committee, changes that were not published online for the public to see until after the committee passed it by a 9-2 vote.
The forums will feature 23 candidates in races for city council, fiscal court, sheriff, Hopkinsville mayor, state representative, county clerk and county judge-executive.
