Only five ferry boats still exist on the Ohio River, including one that carries cars and trucks between rural Western Kentucky and Cave-In-Rock, Illinois.
On Sept. 9, 1959, students from five rural high schools — Pembroke, Crofton, Lacy, Sinking Fork and South Christian — transferred into the new Christian County High School.
The rise in calls indicates both a surge in students struggling with their mental health and a sign of increased awareness of the issue, officials said.
